Um, they are real names, they're Gaelic origin. How rude.

Ironically, I find that pretentious people are the only ones who actually use the word "pretentious".

Caileigh.
I love it (:
I know nobody called either Kylie or Caileigh, so in my opinion you wouldn't have the problem of too many Kylie / Caileighs in one class at school.
Caileigh is beautiful, in both the way it sounds and the way it looks written down. Don't change the spelling - i hate to sound stuck-up, but writing it another way may look like you're trying to be "modern" or trying to change a name that's already individual into something truly "unique" - and when that happens the result isn't normally good.
Caileigh is traditionally celtic, so it will last for ever and not become out-dated, and if you're into the physcological side of things it would also help your daughter to stay in touch with that side of her family heritage.
Congratulations, I hope that all goes well with the birth.

I like both names. I think Caileigh will sound better on an adult though, while Kylie sounds like a little girl. But I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I'd definitely give my vote to Caileigh. It is beautiful.

I really like both of them! They are cute for little girls, but not too off the wall for when they are older. I've liked Kylie ever since the movie Practical Magic, and I love the name Caileigh also.

I like the name Kylie. Not too keen on the name Caileigh, esp. with the spelling you've chosen. I'd go with Kaylee or Kayleigh to avoid confusion on pronunciation and spelling. Another similar name that I really like...Kyrie.

They are both very "cute" but I don't like the spelling of Caileigh- too convoluted. Go with Cailey, Caylee, or something simpler.

I think they are really over used right now (spelled all different ways). Of the two, I like Kylie the best. I also like Kyle for a girl.

They're overused. Is your attraction the Gaelic connection, meaning or the sound? Perhaps Calla, like the flower? Not quite the same sound, but close.
