We just got married back in March, and a lot of the people we would be sending them to have never seen our pics. Also, we don't have a lot of recent pics of the 2 of us b/c well ya know we just spent a ton on wedding pics, lol! Is it wierd or appropriate, or should we just go take a pic in front of my moms tree and use that?

also, the pic I want to use is one of the more casual ones of us that day, not ultra formal posed, we just look cute, lol :) and the card I have picked out is really "Christmasy" if that makes a difference to anyone

I think that would be absolutely awesome of you to do that for your holiday cards!!! The family/friends that didn't make your wedding or who live out of the area would love to see you together. I'd make it a close-up of your "shining with love" faces. People don't really care about the "fashion" of your wedding so much... it's you they want to see. And it is absolutely appropriate btw. So enjoy doing your special card! ღ♥ღ♥ღ

Especially if many of your friends have not seen a card, it's a great way to show a wedding pic and say hi at Christmas. Plus you are being green in the process, why send a card and a pic and 2 seperate times.

I work for a company that prints wedding photos and we printed a lot of Xmas cards. Some of them aren't even just the couple, sometimes it's a family that attended that wedding and just happened to get a good shot taken of tham.

I think it is okay to include a picture inside but I wouldn't have cards made with the picture on the outside as sending the photos to everyone is not appropriate. Alot of people wil be curious and will enjoying you sharing a photo inside if they are close to you

Take a picture of a Christmas tree and have your wedding photo added to it. You guys in front of a decorated tree w/your wedding attire...cute. Technology these days can do anything...

Mom's tree - people will be confused and think you went cheap - personally if I recieved a x-mas card at all I'd be happy but you know how some family members are

NO I dont think it is werid. While we were stationed in Germany, we did photo cards also once and we had went to Italy during Thanksgiving and we had that picture of us in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa as our picture with hubby, me and our girls. Everyone thought it was really cute.
So go for it.
