For instance, suppose that you are female and you are attracted to both men and women. You decide to only date men because you don't want to go through all the drama and stress of coming out of the closet. You live as a straight woman and are capable of having a healthy, loving, long-term sexual relationship with a man. You still find some women attractive but you keep the feelings to yourself. Are you still bisexual?

Yes, I know this sounds like a variation on the "If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, does it still make a sound?" question.

Yes, you would be considered a non-practicing bisexual.
Anyone can be celibate, gay or straight. But that doesn't mean that they're not oriented the way they are.

That describes me almost exactly, except I'm a guy.
I have no real desire to date a man, or go through all the drama and sh*t.
But yeah, I do find some men attractive, but in terms of a long-term relationship or dating...no thanks.
Anyone who steps up and says that you're not a *real* bisexual is just being intolerant, something we should avoid.

I guess I would fall into the category you describe. I've never dated a woman and want to spend my life with a man. But I still consider myself bisexual because I'm still attracted to both sexes.

U again :D! U put ur question in a more easier way this time for me. I think being bisexual is being emotionally AND sexually attracted to both people. Your a girl, I see, and if this question is for your self, and you are emotionally attracted to other chicks, then you are probably bi. And if you are, dont freak out.

Does it matter?
I mean, most heterosexuals can be attracted to people of the opposite sex that they aren't married to. That doesn't make them single. You are attracted to who you are attracted to. If you are married and believe in monogamy, then it really doesn't matter if you are attracted to other men or women. You aren't going to act on it. Why do we need a label for that?

My wife is bisexual. She is attracted to men and women, but loves only me. She does indulge in friends with benefits sex with a few other bi women we know. To us it is not cheating, we are both aware, and both there. And the sex afterwords is phenomenal. She is who she is.
