If the UFO's were a threat to mankind then yes but i wonder are these sightings only pertaining to the USA ??? which other country has sighted such flying objects?are there any records registered other then the USA ? I'm more keen about space but if the UFO's r truly causing some harm to mankind in general then yes a proper investigation wud be welcome. If the NASA is coming up up some farce or nothing then it'll be a waste of time, money and energy. If yahoo news has reported the UFO pictures, if they r valid ones then yes the USA shud supposedly start with the investigation. Maybe we wud get to some conclusion about some other planets existance and the need for them to invade our planet.

Also I think if these UFO's can come to our planet how advanced their technology will be for they cud actually come to our planet, whereas we r just in the fledgling state of exploring the space. We have discovered many planets and still pondering over lifes existance on the planet like Mars or a possibility that Jupiter can be the next planet to have life started. But so far we've not reached the planets from which these UFO's start their journey.

As much as I support such research, I don't think this is the right time for the government to be looking into "X-file stuff" again.

Not to be insulting, but I think this country has other things to worry about at the moment - this upcoming (and overrated) presidential election, the 'war' (whether you support it or want to end it now), problems with our own health care and the corrupt insurance industry, taxes, gas prices, all those 'terrorists' out there (no matter what anyone's take on that is)...whatever.

It sounds harsh, but this isn't the 90s anymore. Compared to now, that decade was relatively calm, at least for this country. Once things calm down a little or we get a handle on all of our own sh*t, then I think the government should start investigating things like this again.

It is funny how we don't believe anything our gov't says except on the topic of UFOs. Are we that stupid? Out of all the millions of sightings from around the world, it only takes one to make the phenomenon real. Are we so afraid we can't even consider that a life form a billion years more advanced than us may have have wanted to come to Earth for a looksee? Are we so egocentric that you'd think they'd just be interested in the human species with all the plants, animals and insects here? Compared to these visitors, all species on Earth are relatively at the same level of development. Yes, let's investigate.

I believe that they should open the investigation into UFO's for the simple reason to acknowledge we are not alone in this humongous universe! This is only my opinion because I have seen such a phenomenon before my eyes..sorry you non- believer's it wasn't swamp gases, reflection of the moon and all those other excuses given by you!

I do think that the government is aware and that they do have proof that alien's from vast universes far beyond our imagination have visited earth.

No, unless they have unequivocal proof,

An exerpt from your article:

The Air Force investigated 12,618 UFO reports from 1947 to 1969 in what was known as Project Blue Book. Investigators concluded that the incidents posed no threat and there was no evidence of space aliens or a super technology in operation.

Seems like a waste of taxpayers money and government resources imho

I think not because a better use of our money would be in fighting terrorists who are the real threat and maybe education to help our young people become as smart as the kids in other nations. Any "UFO's" are probably spy planes in use by other countries far more advanced than the US. We act like we know and see everything but we most certainly don't know and see everything other countries do and we don't know of all of the genius people in other countries who are outdoing our technology by lightyears. We don't have unlimited funds in this country to throw at any project that comes our way - put it into the kids to help them be smarter. If our kids could reach their full potential - they would be able to figure out those UFO sightings without having to spend billions.

No need to spend tax dollars folks, If the aliens wanted to
do us in we would be toast by now. Bottom line they are
here, have been for thousands of years and are in contact
with our government. We use their technology and they use
us and our planet to their liking. That's the deal!!!
Really now, do you think that only WE exist in this and other
universes?? Be more afriad of your own government than
the little Grey's, reptilians etc. there you will find the real monsters.

I wouldn't be opposed to reopening the investigations.

My fear would be that this administration would whitewash the results to suit their own views, whatever they may be.

After all, it's a fact that they did it to Iraqi prewar intelligence, as well as global warming studies by govt. scientists. I repeat, it's a FACT.

yes and why not look at what we have wasted on the war and nothing good has come of that. If u could prove aliens exist than u can bring the human race closer together.
