I pay about $20 a paycheck (biweekly) to cover myself, my wife, and our 4 children. My employer pays a whole lot more than that.

My husband pays $150 a month for ours and it is thru his job. I work at the same place and opt out. I get $400 a year to do this. In the last 4 years I have had over $60000 in hospital bills and we only had to pay $2000 as our share. Excellent care at the hospital and by my doctors. It is a HMO.

I pay through my employer's HMO plan, and pay more than I would pay in taxes to support a nonprofit healthcare industry that was provided by the government if America was a first-world nation.
