So I have a 97 Toyota Corolla. I got the radiator replaced, drove it around for two days with no problems. Today I was driving it in the rain and noticed if I idled for more than a minute steam would appear from under the hood. I wasn't much steam, but enough for me to take notice. Everytime I would see the steam I would look at the temperature gauge which was at a normal temperature. Is this normal behavior?

It's possible that you have a small leak somewhere and the coolant is landing on some engine component that is causing you to see steam.

Check for leaks, especially around hoses that might have been removed or replaced when you had the radiator replaced.

Could be just the rain getting to the rad and evaporating when idling.
Keep a check on the coolant level though just in case.

Yea go with the first guy. Check all line that might have been removed and then watch the coolant level.
