it is a fact that everyone who lives will one day die.
i dont believe in abilities to see the future, the moment you see the future, the future will change and you just saw a figment of your imagination. making decision based on past mistakes have been, and will be productive for those serious enough and commited enough not to make the same mistake. and no sane person would predict unavoidable death for themselves.

p.s. death is always unavoidable, there is no such thing as cheating death. there is only a matter of being prepared for the worst which will enable you to live for another day. if you went through a serious accident and lived, there are alot of factors contributing to your survival. it is only called 'cheating death' for those who cannot identify and calculate these factors. if you live, you live. if you die, your dead.

Wait, what? Death is unavoidable, unless you believe in some metaphysical existence in which this body is a vessel until you transcend to another level of existence, however, even then, if you define death as any kind of end to the current physical parameters of your life, then death is a natural and unavoidable certainty only mystified by how and when.

As far as seeing into the future, you'll have to be more specific. Can I see in my future that I'm going to a concert, yes, because I purchased the tickets, therefore the only thing I needed was desire to go and the reason to create a means to achieve that end. If you mean, will an asteroid hit Bermuda in 2012 and end life on Earth as we know it, you would have to be psychic or the greatest astronomer in the world.

"Sane" is a relative and subjective term at best, but if you mean someone we don't classify as mentally unstable or something, I suppose because they know their body isn't going to continue on indefinitely, but that's not really prediction and that's acceptance of a scientific fact. I don't predict the sun will come up tomorrow because I already believe in the certainty there is no other option but it coming up, based on billions of years of past data.

For what its worth, although at first sight i thought your 1st
Q was rather childish;but in the light of ur further comment
that " (we)... make decisions based on past mistakes" i
cannot resist commenting that you may be referring to the
disputed fact that more people have died than have lived;
albeit un-modern people but people nonetheless.
And the way that the future pans out,for mankind, with our
wild and untamed technology changing the climate(!),the
opposite may not be true.I mean the opposite (disputed)
fact that we will allways increase our numbers into the future.

So if we weigh up this die-or-not-to-die argument,i would say
that it could well lead to your 3rd question about past mistakes "being productive"; a sane person could predict their own suicide; much more importantly(unless they were
a president or some such leader) would be predicting the
demise of the whole planet e.g. environmental catastrophe.
Luckily,we not only have laws that could make this not
happen(environmental laws)but also modern theories
such as darwinism-"new resource niches are found and
exploited")and even Movements(modern mass democracy
enables individuals and groups to argue for restraint).
So i think that like not predicting our own suicide,we should
not predict man's mass suicide either.
Of course we have to get our message "across"; but this may
be based on NO decisions being taken on past mistakes.
They may simply not have occurred or they may not have
been recognised as mistakes(or even corrected).
This is my answer to your question(s).

Death predictions are the easiest way to fabricate clairvoyance. Death happens to all of us so predicting we die does not take any gray matter. I would say there are no true clairvoyants today. I can test this theory by looking back on 9-11-01 and there were no indications of the bombings--a world event gone unseen by those who proclaim themselves to be clairvoyant.

Death is certain for this mortal body but our eternal soul goes on from one body to another life after life.
We are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies.
This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can return to the eternal Kingdom where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy. Choose eternal life by proper action in this life. We are creating our next existence now. We can end all karma and stop this nonsense of taking mortal bodies that are only made of material elements.

Why is water wet, why do all people eventually die, why do things fall down, why are babies born toothless, why do things start to bloom in the Spring?? We know these things from the sum total of all the experience of mankind. This is what are eyes, ears and brain have taught us. It's just the way things are; however, we also believe the spirit does continue on in a different way unseen by this current plane of existence.

Belief in the uniformity of nature is a fundamental premise of inquiry, validated by its utility and the impossibility of a contrary premise.

Because I'm confident nature is uniform, and all other organic creatures with whom I've shared nature die, so shall I.

This is as certain (though no more certain) than my confidence that the sun will appear tomorrow morning to my east, at the horizon.

Only an insane person would deny unavoidable death for themselves.

Because death is unavoidable and you are simply afraid of it and therefore call the man who comprehends this truth instance. everything dies eventually nothing lasts forever even our universe will eventually reach its end and then what? it is the end of existence as we know it there is no way to escape

Excellent question. I understand the philosophy of making predictions based on previous mistakes. We do this because in it comes great wisdom; however, why don't we stop what we foresee to be our demise? Answer... Because we are fallible to the very end!!!
