Of course, I believe we should have friends from both genders, same to empathize, and the opposite to challenge.

I care about my female friends..but I also care about my male friends just as much. To me it doesn't really matter what gender they are, a friend is a friend.
And in actual fact I usually get on better with my male friends compared to my friends of the same gender.

why would gender make a difference of whether a friend is important to you. All my friends are imp to me otherwise they wouldn't be my firends.
