your main issues are what a woman does in private with her doctor, what 2 men or women do in their bedrooms, private end-of-life family decisions, and other personal, private things. why do you care about other people's private lives? are your lives so boring that you have to obsess about it? are you just old and mean and grumpy? and i thought conservatives were for smaller government, so why do you want to make all these laws to control our private lives, isn't that more government intrusion?
serious question. looking for serious answers. can anyone give an intelligent answer, or will i just be bashed by haters?

alan, you're being ridiculous. if you're so pro-life, why do you only care about the babies when they are cooking, but not about them when they are hungry, poor, actual babies?
and liberals do not obsess about sex. we're not the ones thinking about what 2 men do in private, we don't really care. it's conservatives that work themselves up into a frenzy over it. how does 2 men marrying effect you in any way whatsoever?

the thing about abortion is that every single person who wants to ban it for everyone feels that way because of their religious beliefs. which is fine, don't have one, you're entitled to your religion and opinion.
but you simply can't impose your religious beliefs on the rest of us in the US. that's very clear. when will you all get that?

oh, and most democrats in congress are conservative, just not as radically as republicans. the whole thing is skewed to the right. to me, there is many 1 liberal member of congress. you want names? dianne feinstein is very conservative. she voted for the war, for mukasey for AG, etc.

okay alan, i looked it up, here it is:
1. the social institution under which a man and woman establish their decision to live as husband and wife by legal commitments, religious ceremonies, etc.
it's a SOCIAL instutution, not a religious one, that can be established in a number of ways. while there is a religious component to marriage for some people, in this country it is a legal status. if you are not religious, you can still get married.
so keep the religious part of it to yourself. the legal part is what's public for us all.

I'm a liberal. My feeling is that the conservatives (neocons) have very strong morals and values that trump freedom.
Essentially, they are hypocrites but they don't seem to see the hypocrisy or care. I'm sure they find a way to either rationalize it or justify it. I guess they are not for NH's motto, Live Free or Die.

Main issues is once again a person to stupid to breath is asking questions they have no knowledge about! In the Abortion (you can say it) A Baby Child DIES! And issue that was never chose by the people. It was rammed down on us by a liberal Supreme Court. Not judging law, but making Law! Not their department! We "Neocons" obsess about life, The live of an unborn baby, A life of a Service man or woman given to protect Freedoms in this Country. A life free to choose. We have no problem with Gays. That to is a choice! But when they want to parade and demand a Marriage License. Marriage is from God, not man.
God says homosexuality is an abomination. (Look of the verse your self, I have quoted it before)

As a social conservative I happen to believe life is the greatest gift. I apologize if my priorities are to ensure fetuses have the right to live, and if I support relationships that have an ability to create life (responsibly of course).
I do not obsess about gays, they can do whatever they want, they can even get married for all I care, as long as it is with somebody of the opposite sex.
Now do I believe that gay people should be able to use the legal system to ensure they give rights to each other akin to marriage? Yes. (see civil unions).
Seriously though I could take the same tact and make accusations like you do in your question.....
Why are liberals so concerned with killing children and the elderly and the handicapped? Why are liberals so fascinated about minors having sex? Are liberals so sick that they have orginizations defend pedophiles as normal? (ACLU and NAMBLA) Are you just young and dumb and horny? I thought liberals were for protecting minorities so why do you want to kill children and end all those lives, Isnt that more like holding down minorities?

You assume I do not care for the children after they are born, that is a very large assumption on your part.
Also marriage is not a function of government, it is a function of religion, it is just a function that government recognizes. Gay marriage affects me insofar that it degrades what marriage is. Here is something you should go do, LOOK UP THE WORD MARRIAGE IN THE DICTIONARY.
