his first one he tried to force into his tight end in the end zone between 2 or 3 defenders, one was on an excellent one handed catch by cromartie, one was at the end of the game on a hail mary, and the other ones were similar to the first one were he was trying to force the ball in.. he basically just came in seeming too complacent and feeling like he could make everything throw he put out there

I would say that mainly because of team injuries. The Colts played the game without Marvin Harrison, Tony Ugoh, Dallas Clark, Anthony Gonzalez, and Tyjuan Hagler. The line was weakened, leaving Manning open to pressure, and the only real passing option he had was Reggie Wayne. The defense could focus primarily on Wayne and Addai, which made their job a lot easier. Moorehead and Fletcher are not very sure handed receivers. This isn't even factoring in all the losses on defense. Their starting LT for the game, I don't remember his name, was on the practice squad the week before. They ended the game with 16 players injured. They did really well to have kept it as close as they did and probably would have won if not for the missed field goal, which was way out of character for Vinatieri.
For poppa:
Manning is 3333/5205 for 39972yds, 291 TDs and 149 INTs over 9 1/2 seasons
Brady is 2115/3363 for 24250yds, 180 TDs and 82 INTs over 7 1/2 seasons
Manning has Brady in everything but INTs and rings, but the rings are a team award, not a personal one.

Manning didn't have Marvin Harrison or Dallas Clark available, and those are two of his favorite receivers. He knows their trends and knows where they are (and where they'll be) at any time. That's why he hooks up with them so often and so spectacularly. Manning knows he can count to 5, and Manning, Wayne, and Clark will be at a specific place on the field, even if he releases the ball before they get there.
This weekend, he had receivers he wasn't as familiar with. So, he wasn't able to anticipate exactly where they would be at any given time. Look at the pick by Cromartie in the end zone (first one). There wasn't a Colt player within 5 yards of him when he caught the ball. That's because Manning incorrectly assumed his receiver would be there (or the receiver ran the wrong route) when he threw the ball.
The Chargers are good on defense (usually - see the Minnesota game). But, they got extremely lucky to not have two of Manning's favorite receivers to deal with on Sunday.

I'm sure you could find a montage of them on YouTube somewhere... Some were tipped, some were bad throws, some were just good defense. It was raining, he got hit a few times (even though he folds like a deck of cards to avoid being hit hard), and he was playing without all his receivers except for Wayne.
Plus he still had tears in his eyes from losing last week, so, you know.

The weather was bad and he was throwing to a bunch of new receivers. Now he knows what it was like for Favre the last couple of years.

I think his recievers were not getting all that open so he had to force some in. He was without Clark, Gonzalez, and Harrison and I believe he also just had a bad day
