This is a stock Chrysler Infinity stereo in a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was working fine until I changed the battery in the vehicle. After I changed it, the stereo would play, but I could not change any stations or adjust the volume, or even turn it off. So I turned off the vehicle and restarted it, the stereo does not play or display the time. But all the buttons light up when I turn on my headlights. Is there some sort of security thing that effects the stereo when the battery is changed?

I'm not sure about '95 Chrysler products, but many manufactuters require you to input a specific security code after disconnecting power to the unit as a security feature against theft.
