I think they know that people are losing interest this year. Its crap. anyway the sob story didn't work for Beverley did it?

I agree with slsvenus - that was Niki..... but, I think they should have left her sob story at the audition and not keep bringing it up the whole time. These contestants should be judged on their merits, not on how hard their lives have been. I was saying to my mum the other day that they are obviously being told by the producers/judges to talk about these stories and if I was them I'd refuse. None of that matters.... but in the judges eyes (in a sad, pathetic way) this kind of crap helps to sell albums. It's a sham and if they don't watch it people will cotton on to their game playing tactics and their viewing numbers will decrease drastically.

haha..i hate all these stories but when they have a story like I'm a porn star then that is masked over because it might lose votes but o no anything else goes.

WE COULDN'T CARE LESS!

thats why Rhydian was made out as a evil charecter at the beginning because he has no sob story. Everyone who knows him says hes the nicest guy you could meet.

I totally agree with you

Yes,although I do feel sympathy for these people sometimes it seems like that part takes over the show such as last week it was the girl from Hope and Beverly,I think sometimes these 'sad stories' can be used as a sort of fall back so if people don't perform so well they can fall back on that. But like i said I do sympathise, but sometimes it just gets to much.

Yes I do its all to much now. I thought Beverley was good but after last week I wont be voting for her. I watch the x factor to hear them sing not to hear about problems they had years ago.

Your exactly right!!!!!

I was only saying that to my mother the other night, all the contestants are coming out with sob stories.Whether they are true or not,I think its better to keep it quiet & then when they win tell the story. But all this crying from Beverely about her mother & Nikki about her father .

It seems like as if they are trying to get votes from it like play for the the sympathy vote & to be honest it puts me off voting for them.

Nikki was great but how she is always crying it sstarting to make me dis like her.

I see your point it is so true all the sob stories should stop!!!

OMG yes! So much of it is total bollocks. I remember one of the American Idol contestants bitching about how his dad told him he'd never make it and was mean to him etc. Then a few weeks later they showed an interview with his family and they were all together, happy and proud "I knew he'd make it" etc. Feck's sake.

Sob stories put me right off contestants sometimes.
