If you're thinking of buying a sound card, you can try 88DB..i bought mine there at a relatively cheap price..

Your sound driver has either gone corrupt or is missing. If this is an off of the shelf computer then the driver should be on the "Restore" disk or partition. If you are using a third party or PCI sound card, then the driver will be found on the CD that came with the card.

right click on my computer and choose properties then hardware then device manager and see if u have a yellow question marks. if u have them then u need the driver for your sound card installed and u can find it on www.acer.com there is a search or u can choose by computer name.

Either the problem is in ur sound card or ur Speaker. If the speaker is ok, check out for Hardware Configuration if the sound card is installed properly. If not, install it and connect it with the speaker to the right port. If ur sound card is built in, check out from BIOS if the sound card option is enabled or not.

be sure to be connected to the Internet. Right click on my computer and open properties. There go to advanced and click on device manager. Their you will see what drivers are missing. Right click and press update, the Internet will search and install the missing drivers.

U need to buy a sound card and the install it. It costs about $25 bucks.
