she did shed completly. the only thing i can think of is that often times when she sheds it gets caught on her tail. however that was not the case this time. she had her tail last night, she shed, she didn't have the tail this morning

normally shedding wont cause that, but if the shedding is uncomfortable for them sometimes they will drop their tail to make shedding easier. Just make sure she can soak herself fully in water when she is shedding to make it easier, other then that there isn't much you can do, I wouldn't worry to much about it. Where did you get this Gecko? If you got it from a petstore you might want to call them and have her checked, she might have mites, though you cant really see them, it can cause them to be very uncomfortable, and even not eat, my ball python had mites and wouldnt eat. It is very simple to treat if that is what it is from...

Other wise just take your time, she is still young so I wouldn't give up, she just might be having a hard to adapting...

Crested Geckos can drop their tails if handled improperly, however most cresteds are reluctant to drop their tails unless the tail is pinched or squeezed somehow. Most tail loss occurs from aggressive cage mates or from accidentally closing the tail in a screen top or door. Careful handling does not usually result in tail loss.

Cresteds are usually good eaters and hunters. Have you had her stool checked for parasites by an experienced reptile vet? These could cause poor appetite. It she housed alone? If not, I'd separate her to decrease stress. Did she shed completely? Low humidity can cause shedding problems.
