Yes, it is possible, but you will need to partition your hard drive. I think "Partition Magic" should do the trick.

After you have partitioned the hard drive and installed the second OS your computer, while booting, will display a screen that will ask which OS you want to boot.

Yes, you can, not only vista n xp but any number of operating systems, but you have to take in consideration
>processor speed
>ram(memory) available
>harddisk space

First
Go to microsoft's website and check if your laptop meets the requirements.
Next
Go to this website and download this software
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/virtualpc/default.mspx

It is called a virtual machine and wat it does, is allows to you install second operating system inside a virtual environment.

I am guessing you have XP on your laptop already, if so follow these instructions to install vista

http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/vista/virtualpc2004.htm

And if your laptop has vista on it already, use this guide to install xp on it

hope this helps.

You would first have to partition your hard drive. But I wouldn't do that because you would need a decent size hard drive and ram to to that smoothly. I would say 160 GB and at least 1GB or ram minimum.
