I'm in Bio 101 right now, but I'm not sure if I want to take 102. I heard 102 is all about chem/physics or something like that. Please explain, anyone who has already take these 2 classes. I'm taking up nursing as my major, and I'm following a requirement guide. I need human anatomy and physiology, but General Biology 102 wasn't mentioned.

thanks in advance =]

Bio 102 would not be about chem/physics -- it'd be about biology. Chem 101/102 is about chem and Physics 101/102 is about physics.

Usually (each school is a little different), Biology 102 is simply a continuation of the material in Biology 101 with the addition of more specific biology information (101 was pretty general) and introduction of slightly more advanced material. Completion of the two course sequence with labs is usually a prerequisite for higher level biology courses. Your college's course catalog will explain exactly what this course is about and you can probably get a copy of the syllabus from the science department secretary.

Anatomy and Physiology is usually a higher level (sophomore review/200) course in the biology sequence and sometimes is two courses, Human Anatomy and Human Physiology.

I actually thought it was easier. The first section was about basic biology concepts, the cell cycles, etc. The second section had much more interesting topics like genetics, population biology, evolutionary theories, etc. It was more engaging and easier, in my opinion.

Of course, everyone's experience might differ a little, and it also depends on what you like. I love genetics and evolution topics, so I fell in love with the 2nd section of the class.
