Racism runs deep in this country and change is hard for some people to accept. People can pretend that there is no rasicm in the US but they are just fooling themselves. 60 years ago it was unheard of for you to marry outside of your heritage (Irish married Irish etc.) let alone outside of your race. I agree with you....we are all the same color INSIDE and it is what is on the inside that matters. If you and your husband are happy, the rest of the world can go to He** . The people that don't agree with it are the ones with the problem and they are showing their ignorance and stupidity.

Unfortunately, this is the way it is for now... I, too, wonder why it is such a big deal. Whom you choose to marry is your business.
My observations: From what I have seen,
1. It is okay for whites to marry just about any one race other than blacks (and maybe Indians from India).
2. If a white male marries a black woman, she has to be high yellow. In other words, she can't be visibly black.
3. It is okay for white females to marry blacks if and only if they have money and some kind of prestige [i.e. athletes].
4. Whites, Europeans, Africans, and Arabians that I have seen with blacks are out for this "black experience", whatever that is.
5. Slavery point of view: Some whites may see it as a problem for their children to be with black people, who were not only enslaved but who were also thought to be less than whites as well as not even people [property].
Some blacks may see it as a problem for their children to be with white due to it being a perceived perpetuation of slavery. Also, I have noticed that if a white male marries a black women, it's usually because she has a lot more to offer him than he does to her.
My opinion: I think that people should be concerned about what they will bring to the table or what they have to offer their partner as well as love. Also, as long as the other person treats you well, it doesn't matter what race him/her from or what he/she looks like. It is quite possible that people may have a tendency to stick with their own, which is also why it may be seen as problematic to marry outside of your race in general.
My advice: Hang in there! Don't bother with what people say and do because ultimately, they are not you. I'm sure it must be a lot to deal with, but you can get through it! Stay strong! [Sorry if this is way too long!]

I am not racist and have no problem with multiracial families. I have dated men of a variety of races. When i dated an Asian man some of my friends were quite hesitant as they believed Asian men were controlling. Its all just stereotyping. Only small minded people do this so dont worry about it, at least you can look down on them and think "i am a stronger person than them".
