He was just hired by a prestigeous California firm that deals with cleaning up the planet and with alternative energy. He won a Nobel Prize, which is not given lightly despite what his detractors want you to believe. Someone has to be a champion for the environment, whether one believes in global warming or simply in reducing pollution. Al has taken on that challenge. I say his notariety makes him more likely to be listened to than many others. He is doing good work.

I think it is interesting how Al Gore is still an active person in terms of his convictions. He is able to use his stature and continue to serve the public. Obviously the Supreme Court picked the wrong person in 2000

I am going to get many thumbs down for this, however I really do not care.

Al Gore is a world renowned speaker and activist. This is only supported by the fact that he is a recent Nobel Laureate. He should be revered as a strong role model who is working tirelessly within the international community for the USA. Although some may view his cause as Bologna, the fact is that it is a very hot button issue in today's world. It is a cause that he is sending out a strong positive message regarding and should be respected for his work.

He is too smart, too educated, too honest, and too respected to be a politician. He should make educational science films and form a venture capital firm.

While I think he's an alarmist, I also believe he's doing what he thinks is right. His enormous carbon footprint does tend to cloud his message though.

Apparently the Nobel and the Oscar is not enough for his gigantic ego.
Go to his web site and you will find a link to vote for him as time magazine's man of the year.
