In the US the government is supposed to be made up of WE the PEOPLE. That said, are you afraid of yourself? Those serving us in government need to be far more afraid of the people than the other way around. In a democracy the government is afraid of the people and in a dictatorship the people are afraid of the governent.

We became afraid of the U.S. Government since November 23, 1963--when JFK was murdered in brazen broad daylight.
That very instant showered the American people with fear that our elected empowered WILL resort to such savagery when faced with adversity that threatens their profit machines.
And its a lesson whispered to any idealist newly elected officials from the mouths of the "old guard" (who are STILL quite alive and well), so as to put a cap on anyone actually doing their job for the People.
The U.S. Government fear no one; they feel invincible against the People and even the Media--whom they also weild control of.

I would hope neither. I am certainly not afraid of the US Government, and since I am an honest and law-abiding citizen, the US Government has no reason to be afraid of me.

I'm not afraid of my government. They might be afraid of me though because I speak the truth. And at the present time, the administration is trying to keep the truth a secret. It's amazing they think the majority of US citizens are too ignorant to see what's going on.

The government is an inanimate object.
A method rather than an entity. It has no emotion and can not react to intimidation.

are the people threatening the Constitution via revolt, protest, or open rebellion?
or is the government slowly, methodically, and secretly passing laws that undermine liberty and Constitutional freedoms?
based on the answers to these questions it should be obvious where the threat is.

In the words of the group known as Ween... the government can go "Piss up a rope".
At least as far as when they overstep their bounds... other than that I pay them no mind.
