As any Floridian will tell you, there was NO civil war in the US; it was a war of secession, and it was fought between the United States of America and the Confederated States of America. The war was fought all over the continent until April of 1865 when R.E. Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia to U.S. Grant. There were still some skirmishes after that, but major actions ceased.
