I am a 37 year old divorced (for 6 years) mother of a 9 and 10 year old. I live with my b/f of 4 years, simply because it is more financially sensible for me to NOT be married (ex. medicaide for the kids) I work a full time job 7 days a week....here is my issue....it seems EVERY church in my area, either has some type of stipulation about being divorced, living together without being married, or you just flat out CAN'T join the church because of your living/marraige situation...I would LOVE to get my kids back in church...what congregation would "overlook" me as a "sinner" for the choices i have made.????

I think Methodist but not sure.

IGNORE Theresa.

Medicade is SUPPOSED to help working people get medical help for the children and as a tax paying citizen, I GLADLY pay taxes to help out American Children whose parent's work but just need a helping hand with Medical expenses.....I'd rather it go to WORKING PEOPLE than lazy people that don't work! Or ILLEGALS!!!

I love the so called "Christians" out there who are bashing you. Just because they identify as Christain, they think they have the right to be judgemental and rude to you. (Like you don't get enough of that with your situation already) It makes me sick and this is one of the MANY reasons I don't believe in organized religion. You are a good person for what you do.With that being said, if you really want to get your children involved in a church, I would do some research on different religions that suit you. I'm pretty sure Episcopalians(sp) are a more modern organization. My mom's cousin is a Episco(sp) preacher and is a very open minded guy. Good luck!

I agree, you are living a lifestyle that the kids will be learning is wrong by living with your boyfriend. Medicaid is ok,it is the fact that you are living together un-married that is the sin. Maybe you should just send the kids until you can get your home life straightend out. Think about your situation, what are you teaching your kids. Send then to church to learn one thing and when they come home you will try to make a "exception" to that one rule of the bible. Either you try to live by His rules or you don't. You can't change the parts that don't fit your profile and walk with the others. This is the problem with so many Christians that gives us a bad name and sets the wrong example, they say "I'm a Christain" but yet they continue to live the life they choose by altering the parts of the bible that just don't suit them and not what God chooses for them. Hippocrites is what they call them, they go to church, tell others they need to go to church and go home and talk fowl mouthed or sleep together with an unmarried partner.LORD,I have heard of your fame;I stand in awe of your deeds,O LORD.Renew them in our day,in our time make them known;in wrath remember mercy.(Habakkuk 3:2)Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith;test yourselves.(2 Corinthians 13:5)

have you ever heard that ol' saying that "possession is 9 tenths of the regulation"? nicely, it rather is and it rather is only too undesirable that your ex knew this and you probably did not(why do you think of they got here and have been given the babies quickly). you want a criminal expert....base line. childrens get given to ineffective-beats all the stay-long day by utilising decide after decide(so, do not permit your thinking of his checklist or strikes is an automatic win for you). Get a criminal expert....i don't care in case you should own loan the abode, sell each thing you very own, pray approximately wanting one and nonetheless do the annoying artwork God expects and you & your babies WILL fare nicely in the tip. it should not be trouble-free nonetheless...in any respect, yet actually nicely worth IT> ~~God bless!~~

Because they are control freaks. Why not just live YOUR life the way YOU want? You are not a sinner. Don't be so fooled by those who attend church. We are ALL human.

If you are sincerely interested in getting your children in church, why are you so willing to set this example for them? This "gimme" attitude about medicaid is not a good thing to teach them either. You're willing to go against all the teachings they will hopefully learn in church in order to "get" something.

Well, all of them should but they can't get past looking down their nose at you because it distracts them from any of their own sin.
