I've been working a tech-support job... it doesn't pay much, but I love it considering the fact that all I do all day is sit around and play on the internet (except occasionally I have a tech-support call or someone brings a computer in)... I have worked some tough jobs and boring jobs: like Warehouse, inbound Call center... now I am needing more money, but I find the prospect of having to go do a REAL job sort of depressing...
I'm a philosophy major, and I hope to teach... after I finish my PHD (which is a long way aways since I'm my 3'rd year into my Bachelor's)... but in the mean time... how do I get over the prospect of having to go do a depressing job at an insurance company or something?
I used to be hard working... I fear that I lost my work ethic...

How come you're on the Internet playing games instead of working towards the degree? There's got to be some kind of thesis or note gathering required.

Ha ha ha, this is interesting and can be very true. It is a personal thing though. If someone has a good work ethic and this is part of their character or core values, then the change might get them moving again.
Something similar happened to me. I had been doing contractual work for about 5 years and ended up needing to get a full time job. It was a little depressing realizing that I would have to punch a clock every day and would have to be more accountable for my time, but about 2 weeks into the position things lightened up because I really love the work that I do.
So, you will overcome this and get back to your old self in no time.

i came from a hard working job in to a job i adore now cause its so mello
i have come to the conclusion that its a lifestyle choice do you want to get paid more and be stressing all the time, sleepless nights and dreading monday mornings on a sunday nite or happy in your life stress free and have the ability to seperate work life and social life
i think i will be working where i am for as long as i can and i advise you to continue your studies but look up areas where you can have a relaxed work life too
remember work life is work and its there to get paid and life is more important than just work

Make babysitting flyers using the laptop and placed them interior the library, people's mailboxes, and grocery shops. Drum up greater organisation and save a computer to schedule once you do get a customer. Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers enable. I called many shops because of the fact i'm 14 finding for a activity. This replaced into the reaction they gave which makes me chuffed after finding for see you later. locate a community one circulate on line and prepare and circulate in save to prepare or call and ask in the event that they are hiring. What I did replaced into Google a set of organisation close to my homestead and located their numbers using Google maps or their sites and that i called and at once asked in the event that they are hiring and what age do they hire at. attempt community grocery shops, pizza parlors, retail shops, rapid nutrition eating places.
