I recently found a silver coin it is US and says $5 date says 2003 I have never seen one before is it real?

It is not a coin minted by the U.S. mint, in fact it may be a medal or token. I would have to know what is exactly on each side to continue from here for there are a variety of items it could be.

go to the city hall and ask and it is real
if i were u i would keep it
u know 10 years later it might be more expensive think about it
only one sliver 5 dollar coin is left
and u have it
ull be on the news

sounds like one of those Liberty Dollar things... they arent legal tender but they are silver.
