Only 8 MLB players were ever born in France - the most recent ones being Bruce Bochy (born there as the son of an American G.I.), Steve Jeltz, and Charlie Lea, who all played in the 1980s.

Many players have French or French-Canadian ancestry - too many to list.

Just a few that were actually born in France (retired players Ed Gagnier, Steve Jeltz, Charlie Lea), but also some of French ancestry (e.g. Eric Gagne, Rheal Cormier, etc.).
