Lousy question. There are many factors that regulate cell division (such as mutations in c-myc, ras, p53...), and cancer cells are defective on the genetic and protein level, not organelle.

I know the answer your teacher wants is (C), microtubles, because "microtubles are involved in cell division", but it's glaringly obvious he/she does not know anything about oncogenesis.

i think its A... is'nt the mitochrondria the power house of the cell? is the question asking what is the defective part in the cell when nothing else is is going wrong? i think its A
