Sometimes if I'm working on a word document and I delete a word or sentence, when I try and replace them with new words, the new words just eat into the text that's written after, does that make any sense? Like if I deleted "Sometimes if I'm" from this paragraph and tried to write some thing new, it would erase "working on a " as I was typing the new words. Why does this happen!? I cant edit my text properly without losing huge chunks as I insert things into the middle! Help!

You probably have Overwrite enabled. Hit the Insert key and that should fix your problem.

The control for this problem is in Tools/Options/Edit tab. Remove the check mark from "Overtype mode"
