Honestly?
I did it just for the thrill and naughty feeling, and because i knew i could get away with it.

Ive never been married but I have cheated in a number of relationships.

I think the reason I did it was because of vulnerability. I didnt want to be the "cheatie" so I was the "cheater". I have a real issue with being vulnerable and having real commitment.

I like to think I have grown up a lot since then and can now admit that I do have an issue. I am currently in the beginning stages (3 months) of a new relationship and I am being completely faithful. I must admit though, it is extremely difficult to allow myself to be this vulnerable.

I cheated on my ex-husband because.......

1) He was abusive
2) He did not work ( over 2 years without job)
3) He did not help keep the house clean
4) He would spend the money I earned on computer games and other unnecessary stuff(I worked 2 jobs)
5) He did not bathe properly (would go a week or more without bathing)
6) He would want me to "please" him ;) before he cleaned himself (see # 5)
7) To keep my self esteem up.

I have been with a wonderful man for almost 2 years. I don't think I will cheat on him. He treats me like a Queen.

So much for getting people who actually cheated to answer honestly...

For me it was after years of trying to work on a relationship but when she didn't want to be with me and publicly announce it in 97. I tried and actually begged her to go to counseling with me but she refused and I ended up cheating in 01. She wanted to stay married or make me suffer through divorce for some religion based reason. I am now divorce and is much happier for it.

There is a point of no return in relationships and I knew that if I crossed that line there was nothing else I could have done to save the marriage. Maybe it was my way of proving it to myself. After trying counseling for myself when she refused. I have tried everything from being attentive to all her needs doing things for her and her family with no signs of improvement in our relationship. You can only beat a dead horse for so long. I should have filed for divorce years ago but didn't due to my daughter. Do I regret the act of cheating yes would it save the marriage if I didn't cheat no.

because your longterm partner just expects you to do everything with no thank you or you look nice

you have affairs to feel special and appreciated
instead of a general dogs body

Men more than women tend to stop working at longterm relationships stop praising the woman in their life, and dont see why its wrong not to hang that shelve even after wife has been asking for 3 weeks

I am not getting what I want out of the relationship and instead of being mature and respectful I go elsewhere. I am too afraid to communicate and am weak as far as temptation goes. I lack decent morals and values and am only interested in instant self-gratification. I like to take the easy, short cut around things because I am immature and lazy...

No cheating for me. I think it is like being a coward and running off behind some back and not telling them what you are doing. People need to solve problems in a relationship before cheating. I takes two people in a relationship to solve a problem. If not just leave if it doesn't work out.

I've been cheated on twice by previous gf's and now that I'm married I could never do that to my wife. There is always a solution to whatever the problem is and cheating isn't one of them.

If i cheat on my husband is because he started it first and i want him to feel the misery and stress he has caused me.An eye fof an eye. you love someone so much that it can turn rotten.I believe what you give you get back only then you will wake up.though my motive is to cost pain in his life if not i 'll make sure the cheating part will blossom as love, rewarding me in exchange for a jerk husband that he is.

i will take cheater over liar. One second of weak point can create a cheater, and they are oftentimes straightforward about it, yet a liar is for existence. i favor to believe that human beings can change, notwithstanding it style of appears like liars not in any respect do. Liars will scheme to cheat, and lie about all of it a thanks to the grave. A cheater will confess, a liar will proceed to be in denial and proceed to lie.
