Many people agree with locker searches for the safety but what if the 'reasonable suspision' is from someone who hates you or has an agenda? Or if you have embarassing female products or contraceptives in there? It is the schools but it is yours while your there, we should feel okay about using them and not always looking over our shoulders to see who is looking in ot spy. I completely agree with scent dogs and metal detectors not with open lockers. How do you feel?

Schools do not need a reasonable suspicion unless the locker to be searched is singled out as the only one being searched, and then the level of suspicion is not the same as with the police or other governmental law enforcement agency.

Go look up the term 'in loco parentis'

By the way, this has been tried throughout the country and as far as the U.S. Supreme court. It's an old issue.

Did you ever see the joke sign in some offices ? PLAN AHEA
D.

Only keep in your locker that which you aren't concerned about. Embarrassing female products ? Part of the human condition - live with it.

The Locker is 100% the property of the school. If you have something that you don't want them to see, do not take it on school property. While they allow you to use it, it is the school's...no questions asked.

Anything that you do not want to be searched you need to keep it in your purse. Your locker as will be your desk when you go to work will only to be used by you, those who own it only let you use it

Be lucky you even have a school locker...schools over the years have been eliminating them altogether to avoid the hassles.

If you are under 18 you have limited Constitutional rights. The right to privacy is generally speaking not one of them. Sorry.

You have your rights to have privacy. But no matter what others have to say, I think locker searches is for the betterment of the student and the school.
