If by steadfast you mean stubborn and egotistical - then yes.
If by wise you mean compared to a 1st grader - I'd say Bush and a 1st grader would be an even comparison maybe with a slight edge to the 1st grader.

History is written by the victors. When we prevail in Iraq, this President will be remembered for being steadfast in the face of great adversity at home. The war in Iraq will not end with this President, and that is why the President's feeble enemies are trying to get him to give up now, before a new President is elected. Democrats know this well. They are playing a game of chicken with the President, and he has not blinked once. They have nothing left but petty insults. They know they are not going to end the war in Iraq. It is a big game to them. Unfortunately for us, our Middle-Eastern enemies are not playing.

He is awesome! Not once did he look in the camera and say he didn't have sex with that woman. Or blow up an aspirin factory, or bomb Baghdad and Syria to take attention away from a courtroom drama. Or put v-chips in my tv and sign a 1995 spy bill to tap my phones.
