That's a trick question. No gods exist, at least not any omnipotent, omniscient, and GOOD ones. For the existence of evil makes such a thing logically inconsistent. Be good!
Oh yeah, I had to comment on this:
"people beleive that other gods exist because of peer-pressure."
People believe gods exist PERIOD because of peer pressure. Maybe not everyone, but the vast majority. And most people believe that theirs is the one true religion.

This is an age old question that we may or may never know even after death we may never know. According to science, and Athiests, He does not exist. According to religious types and people with faith, He does exist. According to Agnostics, He may or may not exist. But now back to the beginning, if He does exist, maybe one day He will show himself or let Himself known to the people, or in the Afterlife, as the Doctrine states, if you are good then you will be allowed in Heaven when God lives. Although it's also possible that there may not be an Afterlife but He still does exist for us to never know at all. Then there is also the belief that He does not at all exist nor does Heaven exist, this is the Athiest belief of what God is. For myself personally, I don't think I believe in Heaven, as much as I would absolutely like to, there is just nothing in my mind that will let me believe that Heaven exists and there are Angels with white robes and peace for all of the rest of your post life on Earth time. Although, I do believe there is a God, not the God that is in pictures with the white robe, long beard, halo, and everything else, but some form of higher entity that we don't know about and may never know about, but I believe there has to be something out there that is more powerful than anything else, some entity that basically in all other terms is...God.

The Gods are the forces which activate reality.
They are archetypes which exist independently from humans, but yet They live through us.
Each human is made up of different aspects of the Gods. The Gods themselves are just different aspects of the All-God. They are like borderline personality types.
God is like Light shining through a Prism (Earth), with each of the Gods being the different colors which result from the one Light.
People who say there are no Gods are just repeating what they believe to be scientific rhetoric, yet anyone who studies depth psychology comes to realize the role the "Gods" play within our everyday world.

my belief is that if there was a god or gods then there power would be dependant on there followers.
when greek was around the greek gods where all powerful.
when the norse's where conquring there gods had power.
it's like a major goverment where the more votes you have the more power you have.
so when a religionis founded a 'being' then becomes there god
and when areligion dies out there god 'retires' and waits to be used to represent another group of people.
you may think that it's stupid but it makes more sense than humans being around for age's yet only in the last couple on thousand years did 'god' decisde to reveal him self. what did he do for for the last billion years when dinos ruled play the computer!!

If gods are dependent on their followers, doesn't that suggest that they do not exist independently? And that they are only mental constructs?
Edit: Alpha, go one further, and you'll be at the rational view. After all, there is equal proof for ANY gods. Which is to say, none at all.

There has always been interests in the gods. The name of it just went to "mythology".
And no, the gods exists whether we car or not. They might be a little pissy about it at times, but they are GODS. They don't need us to believe in them.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"

God is everything. To identify a god as being anything other than everything is false. All religions more or less believe in the same God, as being everything.

oh their are many many other gods yes THE THING is that they are only in the minds alone of those that created them,, they are powerless t help u in any way,, in the oldtestament times other nations had hundreds of gods .. some copied after other nations . SOMETIMES THE ILLUSION BECAME SO powerful that others became persuaded they were real.. IN ELIJAHS TIME GOD had to put it to a test.. GO TO THE BOOK OF kings and read about it. baal and asheroth were worshipped and the king had led the nation ,, through his wife for he himself was weak willed. into spiritual apostasy .. after 31/2 years with no rain it came time to see who was or wasnt really telling the truth,, ,, heheh its fascinating the lengths the priests went to to try to convince their god TO ANSWER THEM ,, ELIjah GODS prophet even mocked them telling them to cry out louder possibly their god was asleep and needed to be awakened out of his sleep. or perhaps he was , um relieving himself and needed privacy ,, sorry but in hebrew it actually does bring it to thought, anyway they cut themselves with knives too .. ,, its amazing that the mind can convince us something is real when it is not,,GOD had to show his people over and over gain HE HIMSELF only was REAL.. actually ROXIS that is my point man today rejects GOD AND BELIEVES IN EVOLUTION AS god, so instead of being our earth is about 6,000 years old , scientist through their own methods, mostly lies , say this earth is billions of years , whom is telling u the truth ? ,, BRO MJ
