My car's alternator belt snapped, I'm not sure how to put on a new one and I can't afford professional service. Where can I find a repair manual for this?

you can google around for more sources "honda civic chilton's" ... you can also google "replacing alternator belt honda civic" and see what forum entries pop up (don't use the quotes in the google bar, though) ... my bf always seems to find free repair instructions with pictures and all just by googling and reviewing the links ...

Have your bf go to the local auto parts store and buy a Honda Civic Repair manual for '89 models. Good luck!

Wait. Ok, I tried to find it online but couldn't. If you have a library in your area you can often find Chilton books there. That is where I go to look up things on my vehicle. You can't check them out but you can photo copy them and take the copies home.

probably eBay. Do a search and if one is not listed, put it in "want it now". A place where you list what you are looking for, and hopefully someone who has one will contact you.
