Now scientist belive it was something under ground, maybe volcano or eruption that caused the extinction...True or false ?

Its not a new theory. Volcanos were the prime villain long before the asteroid impact theory gained precidence.
The flood basalt eruptions in India, the Deccan Traps, probably did help speed along the demise of the dinosaurs. A similar, if larger eruption at the end of the Permian probably led to an ecological collapse caused by a release of CO2 from the ocean, that caused the massive extinction that made the KT event seem minor.

That's not new. Its the generally accepted way. Just not as direct as "it was just volcanoes"

A bolide impact in the Yucatan about 65 million years ago triggered massive volcanic response (among other things), blocking out the sun, killing plants, killing herbivores, killing carnivores. Its called the K-T boundary mass extinction. Not the biggest one, but it did some damage.

No one really ''knows''. It's all just guess work. (I am surprised no one has yet to blame it on the president though:)
