Many people from all walks of life and from all over the globe.
eg. in Britain it is very common for people to get high on alchohol. This can cause many problems in society, though many people can handle their drink without too many adverse side effects.
Cannabis is another popular one to relax with , probably second to alchohol, though this is illegal and doesn't cause quite so many problems.
Then there are hard drugs like cocaine and heroin etc. It is very rare that people can get high off these without causing personal, health and social problems.
Then there is another category of hallucinogens, LSD psylocybin mescalin etc. These tend not to be recreational drugs of abuse, and more a tool for spiritual enlightenment.
They tend to be non toxic but very pronounced in there effects.
To stay safe stick with weed and maybe alchohol if you think you can handle it. -Though technically achohol is a hard drug (as it would be classified A if recently discovered) and drinking it can be considered solvent abuse.

I used to, because I took a year off from study to travel and have fun and I got stuck into the habit of them......
I got a GF overseas, and one of the first days we went out she offered to smoke a J and then decide what to do during the day...which I found SO STUUUUPID......
I think the next day or day after I said allright, she seemed to do it all the time and that it was a great thing to do.....
Dumb dumb dumb....dumb dumb.
I quit completely about 6 months later. That was 6 years ago.
I failed my studies and didn't manage to start a career.
I never was able to put my life back on track.
I may as well have shot myself in the head when the b*** suggested that stuuupid idea.
