You would have to go with a team that is hot and right now that is the Celtics.

i would have to say spurs and celtics in the finals and spurs would win.
reason for picking the spurs:
it would actually benefit them if the playoffs would start now coz that's what they play for. and having duncan, ginobili and parker quite fresh would be a huge bonus.
reason to pick the celtics:
they are hot right now, injury free and highly motivated. biggest challenge will come from detroit.
reason to pick spurs over the celtics:
better coached, top defensive team, highly effective offense, can run or play half court, deeper bench, experienced.
reasons to not pick the other teams:
1. suns have major question marks and nash' absurb numbers are a testament to that.
2. mavs have been waiting for the season to start but i don't see them getting past the rockets
3. rockets are the biggest worry for the spurs and might actually be picked to get to finals instead of the spurs. i pick the spurs over the rockets because of experience and familiarity with the system whereas the rockets are in their first year under adelman.
4. jazz, nuggets - not yet there kids.
5. pistons - they've shown susceptibility in dealing against teams with a superstar. how bout 3?

The Celtics. But if it did in a few more months when team chemistry kicks in, I'd say San Antonio, beating the Celts 4-2 in the final. The Suns would come in as second favorites.

If the nba playoffs were to start right now.... i think da ones who will make it to the playoffs are San Antonio, Dallas, Detroit, and the Suns. I think at the end it will be between San Antonio and Suns..... I think San Antonio will take it again this year O YEA!!!! GO SPURS GO!!!!!
