It could be that we're seeing a manifestation of their self loathing. Quite often the people who are most homophobic are fighting against their own feelings.
On there other hand, there are those people who are truly ignorant (in the sense of having no knowledge, rather than "stupid") and are trying to find out - although it's quite easy to Google answers to most of the questions they ask so I think they are either very few.
Finally, there are those who have some kind of point (e.g. God Botherers) who just want to vent or provoke a reaction - a nice strong negative reaction, such as a personal insult, gives them satisfaction that they've upset a "deviant" and justifies their opinion that we're all a bunch of oversensitive weirdoes.

I fantasize that they are gay, but there is really no way of knowing. Their reasons for trying to bait us are as vast as the sky, I'm sure.
The "people" monitoring this website are not apparently people at all. As best I can tell, you get a question deleted or removed if 2 or more people report it - regardless of the content. And account suspension occurs if you get enough violations within a short amount of time.
Whatever is manning the terms and services of Y!A seems to be operating according to some strict protocol.

I think the people are doing their jobs TOO WELL! I got TWO question deleted asking for some pictures! And I speciffacly said: NO PORN! But someone reported the question for some reason and I never got the pictures I was looking for. Also, I was just bored one day, and asked if someone would like to chat and make a new friend, but that got deleted as well. If you ask me, they're doing a too good of a job.

No, they arent necessarily gay... just s*** disturbers.
As for the people running this websote doing their jobs, if you think a question is offensive, report it. There are too many people on this site for the administrators to have a chance of being effective without the help of the users.

Not too sure about it. I prefer to spend my day thinking about and doing things that I want too. But you do raise a valid point in there. Maybe some people get their kicks by pretending to be smoething they are not? The world is full of them, dont sweat it too much.
