What is this women doing dating a married man? I don't care if you are seperated, you are still married!

No, I would think that you would want to close the book to that chapter before you start another one. Don't you think that you are moving to fast, already engaged and the divorce isn't even in ink yet? You should really take a moment to breathe and think about why you are in a rush. Hope this helps.

Not really. I would not want a ring from a man who's divorce is not final.

I think it's ok to give her a ring...just not an engagement ring. My bf and I are in a similar situation. He gave me a beautiful ring last Christmas, as a token of his love and committment to me. Perhaps if you give a ring with a similar sentiment?

Not a good idea, get the divorce final and maybe Valentines day you will be free to start a new relationship...

Out of respect for the other person, I think you should wait until the divorce is finalised. As other people have said, what's the hurry? If you love her enough to want to marry her, she's not going anywhere...

NO its not OK- I would question the girls motive if she accepts it too!
Until the papers are filed, stamped and official you are having an affair, nothing more, nothing less than an affair- so you are cheating on your spouse as you are NOT divorced yet and the woman you are with is just a guilty of this affair too. Shame on both of you!

Won't you look like an idiot when they reconcile?

Until she is divorced and for 30 to 60 days thereafter (depending on the state), she is considered still married or without benefit of the right to remarry..

If I was your soon to be fiance, I would rather you waited until your/her first marriage was resolved before you asked for my hand in marriage. It wouldn't mean as much to me for you to propose with a divorce still looming over our heads.
Then when people ask "when is the wedding?" I would get to say, "As soon as the divorce is final"..........

Well, you have to ask yourself something first. What is the rush? But 2 years is a long time!!! You know if it is right or not and if you feel that it is then go for it.
