it's not any of your business...thats why shes your ex... okay now that you added details on your situation then you have the right to request for a change in child support.contact the courts and file for a hearing. it may cost you a little money yo do this. or you can always wait til they contact you (which they mail you a piece of paper every three years, so that you may make an appeal) i know what you mean by that. my husband pays 400.00 a month for one kid. but her mom wont work and gets her utilites turned off all the time(once no water for 3 months) gets evicted all the time, has lived in the salvation army. we have called the authorities on her several times (they do nothing) so its not fair that we have to struggle to put that out for her to do NOTHING for her kid (we live in FL. the system is screwed up here BAD, and it truly is a state for mothers, which means unless you have $$$ for a really good lawyer, if you're a man you aint gettin your kids) Your case is different but still not just. GOOD LUCK

It would depend on why you believe you have a right or need to know. If you are asking on the basis of a motion to modify an existing or pending child support order, then you would need to inform your attorney (or if doing it yourself) to file a subpoena to the employer for all salary, benefit and bonus compensation records for the last three years including at what time and date any changes to the above were initiated.
In some states you may also subpoena records of her new husband or any 'resident of the home' for purposes of determining what combined resources are available to the ex for support of the children.

She is an ex, so you are no longer entitled to know what she is making. For all you know, someone else is paying her mortgage, and that is none of your business either........
Edited:
Nothing is wrong with it. It is still your kid too isn't it? If you feel support should be modified, then file the necessary paperwork. But in the end, you will probably end up screwing yourself, since most courts lean towards the mothers. Just because you feel should can afford to raise your child on her own, doesn't mean she should. you have an obligation to help support your child, no matter how much money she makes.

If you wanted to remain involved in her life, you should not have made her your ex. Since she has become your ex, her income is absolutely none of your business. Get a hobby.
Later edit: There's nothing "wrong with this picture". You have children, so you should rightfully be financially obligated to help support them no matter what their mother's income is. If you didn't want the financial obligation involved in having children, you should have worn a condom -- rubbers are a LOT cheaper than kids!

County Tax Records.
Freedom of Information Act allows you to go and look up someone and find out what they made the previous year.
Some Counties actually have most of this information posted online.

And why exactly would your ex's income be any of your business? It's not. She has no reason to tell you, and you have no reason to be snooping around trying to find out. What would that achieve, exactly?

Why do you need to know that? You will still have to pay your child support anyway.

There's a reason she won't tell you her income. It's because you have no reason to know! Mind your own business.
