You can (although if you are enrolling as a full-time student, you will have to take a full-time courseload), but my guess is you won't like it anywhere until you make a commitment to some place. You will always feel like you don't really belong there. Also, keep in mind that the admissions process moves rather slowly, so you would probably lose a lot of time if you approached it that way, because by the time you decided you wanted to transfer, it would be too late to do so for the next semester, so you would lose the semester and only get started again the next year.

If you just want to take a semester at another college and then return to your first university, you don't need to transfer, you just need to get a letter of permission which will allow the credit you take at one college to be accepted towards your degree at your 'home' university. If you want to switch college after college every semester, you'll never graduate. Most universities have a minimum requirement of credits that must be taken at their school for you to be eligable for graduation and many universities have a maximum number of credits that can be used as transfer credit, meaning you'll be wasting a lot of money for classes that won't count towards any degree.

No, under the Bush No Child Can Transfer Law, which was attached as a rider to the No Child Left Behind law, you have to wait for the whole class to transfer.

As far as I know, you can. Obviously, you will have to be accepted by the college you are tranferring to and you will need transcripts if you are taking classes that require
