They're saying Deion Sanders is the only SHUT DOWN corner to ever play. Al Harris told NFL Network he is the other shut down corner besides Deion. What is a shut down corner exactly? Ints, tackles, deflections, off. not throwing your way, etc...? I like this topic because to me if you are a shut down corner today in this league thats the real deal. So you can argue guys like, Mel Blount, Rod Woodsen, Darrell Green, DeAngelo Hall, Champ Bailey, Al Harris, Charles Woodson, etc... What is your top ten of all time?

Al Harris did say that, I was watching the Green Bay game and one of the commentators for the game also works for NFL Network, forgot his name, but the announcer said they were in the same building and Al Harris walked up to him a quoted " There is another shut down corner besides Deion Sanders, its me."

Dre' Bly, your going to put him in the same league as Woodson, Deion, etc.... He's a solid DB dont get be wrong but far from a Shut Down, just ask Greg Jennings who burnt him on a seem route to win the game in OT.

Every corner gets beat once in a while, because the rules are heavily slanted towards offense. A shut down corner forces the opposing team to change their gameplan. Currently, the guys I would call shutdown corners are:
Champ Bailey, DeAngelo Hall, and Chris McAllister.

MM 12 knows nothing. Al Harris is a shut down corner and is the single most underrated corner in the league. There is a good reason you don't hear about him that much, and that's because QB's don't throw to his side much.

P.S. DeAngelo Hall = overrated

Al Harris sucks. There's two reasons it took him that long to even become a starter let alone a shut down corner. Reason # 1 - Troy Vincent was better than him. Reason # 2 - Bobby Taylor was better than him. Get a haircut and shutup Al...assuming he really did tell NFL Network that.

$.Kracker, Way to be a Packer homer you loser. Your team has one good year finally and back you come out of the woodwork. Al Harris sucks. If he was any good, it wouldn't have taken him so many years of being a nickel and dime guy to finally break through. Take your homer sh*t somewhere else fool.

The way all the new rules greatly favor the offense and the WRs there are no 'shut down' corners currently in the league. There are several CBs much better than the others though.

Shut down corner takes the oposing team's best WR and shut him out. Or contain him.

Champ Bailey, Dre' Bly used to be.

I really don't think so. I watched Deion Sanders get beat in Dallas so many times, I hate to think about it. I could not stand that man, what a waste of money!

i think in spirits however the replicate ingredient is somewhat a protracted way fetched for me. My mothers house is over 200 years previous and all of us who says there is not a such ingredient as spirits striking around ought to pass and spend it gradual there.

there were shut down corners, but when pass interference rules started getting called the way they are written (no contact past 5 yards), those cornerbacks were getting thrown on successfully
