Even though I've had my PS3 since about a month after it's launch, I only have 4 PS3 games:
Resistance Fall of Man
Heavenly Sword
Motorstorm
Lair
I could have bought way more games than this, but I'm just waiting for a few other games that I know are worth $60 bucks like: Need For Speed Pro Street, Uncharted Drakes Fortune and Haze.

Got my PS3 for my Bday in August
came with

Fight Night Round 3
Motorstorm
and so far I have bought
Warhawk
Fifa 08
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty has to be the best console game i've ever played multioplayer.. it almost beat Counter strike source (almost)!
Warhawk is also great online as is fifa, the others are good, nothing to write home about..
Not played any of them single player should couldn't advice you but out of the 6, get CALL OF DUTY!!
What I'm more impressed with is my PS2 collection.. 80 games!!

But I'm looking at getting COD 4, Uncharted, Rock Band, maybe Eye of Judgement.

resistence, ratchet, warhawk, motostorm, oblivion, Fantastic Four rise of the silver surfer(which was the only regretted purchase)ANd next comes Drakes fortune, and Rock band.Wev've rented alot more and downloaded quit a few more as well.
