The ideal is keep your blood glucose towards the middle normal range at all times, except for perhaps a low in the early morning when you'e not eaten for 8-9 housrs. The best way to this is to "graze", to munch on small healthy snacks (6 crackers, handfull of raisins, one boiled egg, half a sliced cucumber, etc) about every 2-3 hours. You don't have to WANT to eat be particular hunger, but put a little "fuel in the machine" anyhow even if it's a food you aren't terribly fond of. Not every meal an be a wallow in the sensual pleasure of the palate.
Remember not to fill your tank; take only only enough fuel to get you "to the next gas station" bout 3-5 hours down the road. Unless you "cheat" and choose ice cream and deep fried foods for you snacks, then these eatig habiths will promote a healthy, rell-regualted pancreus (organ that scretes naturaul isulin), contribute to renal and hepatic (kidney and liver) health, be more condusive than overall better health via better circulation. When your blood glucose "yo-yos" due to alternating fastig and biging, its the opposite.
Set up a scedcule and fuel the machine on scedule even if 'don't feel like eating' -- don't let your brain get so bossy that you let it make ou do things you know are bad for you.

What you're doing now is not exactly the most healthy.
But a bit of advice:
Do not skip meals.
Always, always make time to eat breakfast (most importantly), lunch and dinner at the same time each day, like breakfast at 6am, lunch at 12pm and dinner at 7pm.
Eat whatever little snacks during the day.
If you have this routine in your schedule, then it's not a choice whether to eat or not...and being too busy won't eat away (no pun intended) at your mealtimes.
Considering you're going through a stressful period, you probably want to let your body have adequate nutrition at least.
And you don't want to worry about this little eating habit problem, so just keep things constant, at least until things calm down.
Hope you pull through this "stressful period". =)

You already know that there is something wrong.
Eat small, healthy meals during the course of the day. You can have your breakfast, lunch and dinner as larger healthy portions of food and two or three "snacks" between meals.
Of course, drink enough water/good liquids and take a good multivitamin.
Emotional stress puts enough strain on the body without having unhealthy eating habits to harm you even more. So even tho' it seems hard, do your best to be good to your body even when the times get tough.
Good luck!!

Stress can make your eating go crazy. I know because I've been through it. Try to make an effort to eat regular meals as its bad for you to go long periods without food (can cause health problems).

You might be incharge of it is eating habits. Discontinue feeding him human food. He will not starve himself so put the dry meals down, if he won't eat it in 15 min choose it up and try again in a few hrs. If he is overweight going one day without meals will not harm him...
