So the person who delete my answer knows that I was joking, it can't be racism or something else...
But I think that most of you are right, in Greece it's difficult to make humour! KPIMA!

You've lived in Greece long enough to know that humour is not high on the list for most Greeks . Don't worry about it! I've been in Greece all my adult years ... worked everywhere - done most things - been most places - married gave birth to two kids in the local hospital ... own 2 businesses, pay ALL my taxes but according to some on this site I'm still not qualified to answer because I'm not Greek ..... Bull! I know more about Greece than most - one thing I do know is there's not a great 'sense of humour' in Greece. You got the animal right with my husband! He's one hairy gorilla and when he's in one of his moods he grunts like one too! Have to say though he has an excellent sense of humour ..... a rare jewel!
Don't worry .....we know you were joking! LOL

Some people just can't take a joke. Sorry your answer was deleted. I had the same thing happen to me, too. There was a question about the mafia. My answer was "If I told you, I'd have to .... ..."

The dots represent the last two words in my answer. I won't type it again out of fear of another violation. I got a violation for that answer, when it was so obviously a joke. The answer was deleted.

Hmmm I guess someone misunderstood you.Greek users have been under heavy attack by some users and they probably didn't understand you were joking.Don't forget, reading something is completely different than hearing something, since you can't see the expression of the person who is making the comment so it's easy to be misunderstood. The only thing i can advise you so this doesn't happen again is next time you wanna make a joke or something, just to be sure people understand it was meant in a humorous way add a "lol"(laughing out loud) or a "just joking" at the end of your statement.A smiley might also help :)

Some people have no sense of humor and are very uptight when it comes to race, religion, politics, ethnicity etc. Sometimes the answers beg a bit of humor, but one has to be so careful. it is not as if you are being downright rude or anything.

have you ever tried to make humour with a fig-tree stem ?

or with somebody swallowing baionettes every morning ?

Poor you - remember -" if all the morons of the earth could fly at the same time - this would make a perpetual night "

and this one : " Don't speak to jerks - this enhances their level "

Because honey... them spartans live in greece too and you dint include them... some of the "300" dudes might have gotten pissed off by the exclusivity of your answer and vaporized it from the face of cyberspace.

Self-deprecating humour is unknown in Greece. Mostly an Anglo-Saxon phenomenon of false humility.
