My boyfriend and I were talking last night, ad he asked if I wanted to hnag out after school. I told him I couldn't, that I already told my guy friend I'd hang out with him. My boyfriend seemed to get really mad. I mean, he didn't say he was mad, but I could tell. He said somehting like "Why do you always have to hang out with that guy?" I was just kind of shocked, and I asked what he was talking about, and he was like "Forget it, I have to go, bye" and hung up! This was last night on the phone, so I haven't really had a chance to talk to him yet, but is he jealous? Just being a jerk? What? I hang out with my friend a lot, but I never thought it bothered him. It shouldn't.

Yes, it should bother him- a lot actually- if you hang out more with the same guy than with your boyfriend.
It's not ok to forget your friends, but you should- maybe- spend more quality time with your boyfriend and stop calling him "jerk" whenever he does something you don't understand.
In my opinion, your boyfriend cares a lot and is jealous; he feels like you're not taking care of him and his feelings.
Don't cancel your appointment tonight, go out with your friend but don't go back home late. Because if you cancel it, you'll open the door for emotional balckmailling.
Before tonight, call your boyfriend and tell him how much you love him and tell him you'll call him back tonight straight once you're back home. Then tomorrow, surprise him. Go at his place if you can, send him a card, wait for him at the end of school or do whatever you think will feel him appreciated loved and recognised by you. Basically, just surprise him, and everything will go back to normal.
Don't forget this: your boyfriend 's not for granted, nor are you. Thus you should work - both of you- but apparently more you, on your relationship.

There is one thing that you (without a doubt) can know about your boyfriend: he understands men.
Regardless of the stated intentions of your friend, you picked that MAN over your MAN, and that hurts I suppose.
Either he has a self issue (and fears you will leave him, or cheat with said man) and/or understands the mentality of another man.
Let me propose this question:
If your boyfriend had a cute girl that he hanged out with, would you be jealous?
Truth is, at this point you have a choice: "Your male friend, or your BF." The result is only for you to decide (but both, regardless of what they say, will try to sleep with you eventually).

Yes, he's jealous but he's also a jerk with a capital J.
Never allow a boyfriend to cut you off from your family and friends.
Those are the first stages of controlling you.
Communicate this to him and if he's still ticked about it, kick him to the curb and move on with your life.
By the same token, try to see things from his viewpoint. Are you disrespecting him by spending a lot of time with this guy friend? Does this guy friend have an agenda of his own? Are you attracted to this guy friend?
If you can honestly answer "no" to these questions, then keep your friend. But be prepared to accept his "girl" friends.

Spend more time with your boyfriend, plan more things with him, don't completely ignore your friend or anything like that but, just kinda give some more attention to your boyfriend in this case.
He isn't jealous, he is just worried that you find your friend commonly more important than him and would rather be with your friend than him, he's probably kind of ticked off/sad right now, so just plan to do more stuff with him and give him more attention.

You should invite your boyfriend to hang out with you and your guy friend. Your boyfriend could have felt excluded and unwanted yesterday, which would explain why he got upset. You should also spend slightly more time with your boyfriend than your guy friend, otherwise any boyfriend would wonder what's going on.

a bit of both, but what would you think if your boyfriend said oh no i cant I'm going to hang out with my girl friend. i doubt you'd be like oh yeah sure and be okay with that. when you in a relationship you need to think of the things that you like or want to do and if it will be okay with the other person your together with. there's two people in relationship and both need to be thought of.

Maybe you need to start spending more time with your bf, or he may find someone else that will.

He's not jealous or trying to be a jerk. Your boyfriend is just insecure!!!!!!!! So you should try to discuss the matter with him and see what he think's about your relationship with your friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
