Don't be afraid, that's what a community college is for.

The test that you took was an assessment test, and it's basically used to know how much you know. That includes your English level, which is why the guy told you to do it by yourself.

The results of those tests will go to the counseling department and whenever you have your appointment with your counselor, he will tell you what classes you should take based on your assessment scores. If he thinks your English skills are not so good he will just recommend you to take the right class that will help you improving you English (once more, that's why the guy told your mom nt to fill out the paperwork).

My best advice for you to get ready for next semester, is to talk to as many people as possible, watch TV and listen to the radio so that you get used to listen to conversations in English.

Attend all of your classes, take notes, ask questions, research anything you are still unclear on, do all your assignments, study for quizzes and exams, find the smart, hard-working students and get a study group going. I'm a 4.0 college grad and that is how I did it.

Good luck!!

Just study what you feel will be included. If you feel doubtful, then go to a review center near you
