OEM or After market alarm. If it is after market system, could be many things wrong.
If it is OEM, could be many things also, but not as many as after market.
Check fuses, wires, connections and devices or actuators.

People ignore alarms anyway. Just keep the car locked items locked in the trunk out of sight. Does it have a key pad on the door? try locking the trunk and holding it to lock one second to arm the security system. Security light will turn on on the dash. Do this with a window rolled down. After the security light flashes reach in unlock the door and open it Lights flash and horn should honk... either put the key in and start the car or find a door lock to unlock and hold unlocked one second that kills the alarm. Many parts of your security system are no longer available. And if you needed a smart entry control module it would be expensive.
