Alana please, we know you've been brainwashed and it shows by your repetition of the answers you provide in all the questions regarding Islam.

And yes, Former Muslim is correct, Muhamed was a pervert or worst, when he was 53 he married Aisha a 6 year old and consumated the marriage when she was 9.

Muhamed wasn't great. Jesus spoke of peace, putting yourself before others and loving everyone including your enemies. Muhamed told his followers that men are better than women, that unbelievers should be forced to believe or otherwise be killed.
The only similarity between Jesus and Muhamed is that they practiced what they preached. Jesus healed the lame, the blind, gave food to the hungry, Muhamed practiced violence and wielded to sword against anyone who didn't believe him to be Allah's prophet.
Muhamed killed others for not believing, Christ died so that others may believe.

Comparing a blood thirsty murderer and peadophile is blasphemy against the sinless Christ.

The best comparison there is that Jesus died and rose again while Muhamed died and stays dead!

Who is a Prophet? What is a Prophet? What do you expect of him and why would he come? Would you hear him in the first place? And even if you did would you believe him? Over all I think you have asked the easiest question of them all, “WHO IS NOT THE PROPHET” Look for anyone who wants you to hurt or kill in Gods name and you will have found your false Prophet. God is a pretty damn powerful being and if he really does not like something, believe it or not, it is well within his power to get his point a cross and he does not want anyone else helping him do it. If someone calling them self a Prophet tells you to strap on a bomb and go walk into a crowd of innocent people and blow yourself up, because God wants you to do it, you have found a false profit. If someone calling them self a Prophet tells you to do unto others as you would them unto you, and be tolerant of their different backgrounds of culture and beliefs, well he may or may not be, that is the hard one, and I would say everyone has a bit of Prophet in them to a limited extent. The words of a Prophet are inspired by God, who are you or I to say someone is not that Prophet at any given time? But it is up to us to listen to those words to make sure that they are words that are inspired by God and not their own self serving interests. Who will benefit from what the Prophet says? Will it be him? Or will it be the community? Is he trying to control you or obtain things from you in the name of God? Those are the signs of a false Prophet and you will almost always nail them within a reasonable amount of time, just keep your eyes open because it is blind faith that false Prophets rely on to get to you. John B.

Well for one instance Muhammad (Peace be upon him) forgave the woman who ate his uncle's heart after killing him in the field of battle. He brought salvation to his people and to the people of the world. Even his biggest enemies who wanted to murder him trusted his word and his honesty. There are a million other reasons. Jesus is a Prophet of Allah as well. But Muhammad (PBUH) was sent as Allah's last messenger. Allah's final word. Besides Allah says that he who doesnot believe in even one of Allah's prophet is not a Muslim.

You may be an atheist or an agnostic or you may belong to any of the religious denominations that exist in the world today. You may have been a Communist or a believer in democracy and freedom. No matter what you are, and no matter what your religious and political beliefs, personal and social habits happen to be— YOU STILL MUST KNOW THIS MAN!

I guess this is where FAITH comes in. "Now, faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 1:1
This is the central of question of religion and God. We can read everything that's out there - what do you want to BELIEVE?
First, you have to come to an understanding that these men both lived on this earth. There is HUGE evidence that they were both here. They were both prophets and spoke for God to us, then and now.
The one difference between them is: Mohammed (sp?) is dead and buried, Jesus was resurected and is living. Can you believe this? (See 1st line) I was not there, but hundreds were and they wrote about it. Can you trust what they wrote? Can you trust what Mohammed wrote? Do not criticize what you do not know or understand. Take some time and really dig deep. If I may - the truth will set you free.

In a short span of only 10 years this illiterate businessman Muhammad brought the arrogant, barbaric idolaters of the Arabian peninsula under the banner of one God, kneeling five times a day in prayer. His message transformed worshipers of stone idols into worshipers of one God. Desert Bedouins became kings, rulers, and statesmen under the banner of Islam. In under 200 years Islam spread faster and farther than any religion ever in history, and Islam brought under its control more territory than any other group at that time until Ghengis Khan and the Mongols swept through. The teachings of the Quran gave women more rights than they ever had under Christianity or Judaism, and for 400 years the cities of Baghdad and Cordoba were the most fabulous cities civilization had ever known. Because of the high level of learning and love of scholarship, science, medicine, astronomy, mathematics, and architecture reached new heights in the Islamic Empire. Knowledge from ancient Greece revived. Ptolemy's maps were located. Without the contributions of Islam, Europe's Renaissance and discovery of the New World would have been 400 years later. Those are just a few little things Muhammad did or started. Instead of bigotry, let's be fair in judgment, and give credit where credit is due. I am not Muslim.

My prophet, Mohammad, is so great because he told me not to disrespect any other prophet, including Jesus.

In my opinion he was great because he had no special miracles, he was a human being, and while he was a human being he did wonders, he changed the world..he gave us the hope and the strength in humanity

He protected his people from annihilation in Medina but forgave the aggressors and did not kill them when he finally defeated them (the citizens of Mecca). He also made the plight of widows and orphans better, limited husbands to between 1 and 3 wives (depending on who you talk to), curtailed the Arab bedoin custom of blood revenge, among many other things.

one was apparently the son of god as well as god it self and the holy spirit, the other was apparently a prophet of god. both religions that they represent are derived from the same source, which is ancient Judaism. all are from around the middle east.both Branch's have been a cause for war. I'm agnostic but grew up watching the crap that goes on between these two groups. i wish both would just grow up and stop their b*tching and work out their differences, it's the same god has anyone else noticed that, because i most certainly have.
