I posted recently about my 13 year old daughter who suffers constant headaches all day, every day. For months now.
A CT scan showed no infection in her sinuses...although most of the pain appears to be above her eyes, under her eyes and near her temples.
The headaches cause painful earaches (although her ears are okay) daily.
Tonight she complained of sore eyes. She said they felt puffy and her eyes stung!
I have been taken her to a doctor who does not know what's causing it... he ran a blood test yesterday although I'm unsure what that will show??
Poor thing is suffering EVERY day...
The 'eye thing' is a new symptom though.
Any ideas what could be causing all this??

It is not stress, overtiredness, hunger etc...we have ruled all those out.

I have made her an appointment with an Optometrist to have her eyes checked but other than the stinging eyes (today) she previously had no eye problems or vision problems.

Your doctor needs to refer your daughter to a neurologist. Also, have you considered an optical problem - I mean has she been checked by an optometrist? A lot of the symptoms seem consistent with an optical issue.

These headaches; earaches and sore eyes might be due to hyperthyroid opthalmic neuropathy; vision problems or eyestrain;

Staring at a computer screen for hours at a time can result in fatigue, eyestrain, headaches and other problems.
The lighting in your work area, work area arrangements and use of corrective eyewear can make computer use more comfortable for your eyes.
These are signs of eye problems that can be caused by poor lighting of a computer workstation:
􀂃 Burning, itching, dryness, excessive teariness and soreness of the eyes or eyelids are the types of eye discomfort which might be associated with poor lighting.
􀂃 Excessive blinking, squinting, difficulty in seeing, double or blurred vision and trouble with focusing can also indicate eyestrain from computer work.
􀂃 Even headaches, backaches, fatigue, dizziness and indigestion can indicate eyestrain from a poorly-arranged computer workstation

Migraines, in their best form, only come once or twice a year. When they’re as common as they are for me, they’re obviously not in their best form. When they’re like this, you take preventative medicine. That is, of course, assuming you don’t have some sort of tumor or something.

Dry, burning eyes; blurred vision; delayed focusing; altered color perception; headaches; tired eyes; eyestrain; sore eyes; red eyes; contact lens discomfort; glare sensitivity; excessive tearing; neck, shoulder and back pain (intersights). Collectively, these symptoms have been termed Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) by the American Optometry Association (eye2eye)
