i just read a question about religions not allowing blood transfusions (the case was an accident that happened out of the blue)and some answers confused me. one parent said that his/her child had a bible conscience and wanted to live forever. well sorry but how does a 4 or 5 year old understand this? ( i mean really understand it,not just repeating whatever the parent told him) have these kids been told they will go to hell if they dont agree?

conditional responsibility for a child to show unconditional love for a God?even though the bible was written thousands of years ago where blood tranfusion was not known?

this truly is a violation of the childs basic human rights, unfortunatly before the child can make up his or her own mind he/she will be brainwashed by this morman stupidity, and suffer accordingly. unconditional love is as it means UNCONDITIONAL, unfortunatly the bible has been bastardised for 2000 years, so that it suits all the leaders of the christian and jewish faiths. hopefully this child does not suffer too much, and probably deserves a better life than that under a mixed up doctrine of faith and obedience.

Kids don't understand those things and that's why indoctrination into religion is bad, body modification of the newborn because of religion is bad, naming a child as a member of one religion is bad. Even if a child does understand it in a limited way that is based on their limited life experiences and understandings which are most likely totally bogus. Although it is sad for the child and they could have been someone good as well, if people are that stupid then I don't care if they die, chances are they would grow up to be just like their parents.

A child of that age would no what is right or wrong from what they have been told by their parents.
If they have been told by their parents that its wrong to have a blood transfusion and right to help people then that is what they will believe.
Personally I don't think that people are able to make those kind of judgments for themselves untill in their teens.
So it may seem as though a child has a bible conscience, but personally I don't believe it

children at 4 or 5 are under the age of understanding and therefore only repeat parrot style the opinion of the parents. I tell my daughter who is 3 jesus loves her and when she is older i will explain and let her make up her own mind. Although i will encourage her to ask the lord as her saviour

it is so wrong! the love and responsebility for your child should be UNCONDITIONAL. and if a God has a problem with that then people should ask themselves whether they chose the right religion! how can something be more important than the life of your child? unfortunately people get away with all this

I would consider this Child abuse.
Enforcing ones own delusions upon a child is detrimental to that child and society as a whole . No doubt that child is living in fear of burning in Hades for eternity , not something that is going to produce a well-balanced adult.

What other people's children are brought up to believe is no-one's business but the parents.
If you take your argument, you could say all that we teach children is brainwashing. We don't know for sure alot of what we teach. We teach it because we think it's right. You have to teach them something, or they will have no idea about right or wrong.

People twist that verse around to suit their
own agenda....... it means not to drink blood
like in a sacrifice.
Im a christian and if my child needed blood
Im sure I would be the first one in line to
donate.
there is nothing christian about letting your child die-
" He that doesnt take take of his own is worse
than an infidel and has denied the faith"
