I think it was more educational than anything, there was an orange robot thing on there, possibly called the 'wordman' and he'd get you to spell out words. It's bugging the sh!t out of me because I can't remember much about it.

His name was wordy and was called.........................damn cant remember!!!!!

Most everybody had it right...the robot character you're struggling to remember was Wordy from the BBC's "Look and Read" (which had been around since the late Sixties;Wordy was introduced around 1978 or so and was around until 1992).

It was from a programme called "The Boy from Space" the robot was called Wordy. It was a rehash of an earlier 1971 programme.

No but I recall one called "Lost in Space." It was brilliant.

Just key in kids TV - orange robot into google search and you will find it.

I have a recolection or something called 'wordy....'. Did he look like an orange version of bertie bassett?

Actually there were two versions of Voltron. One version was the combination of starships. The second version was various trucks that went together to form the larger robot Voltron.
