Great Question one that for ages still stumps everybody. But you have to have a clear conscience and a well regulated mind to be able to understand truelly for yourself what the truth is. And this is where so many people go off. The Church of christ believes you have to go to thier church to be saved. Jews believe in just God and not Jesus as thier saviour. Baptists believe you must be baptized before you die or you go to hell. But if you read carefully with a pure heart God simply asks that you believe with your heart that produces righteousness and profess with your mouth that Jesus is the son of God he will close His heart to you and grant you life in Heaven In Mark. But not to dismay you but its something America will never come to terms with. Its not how many people you have in your church or how nice you are to people or that you go to church every sunday that saves you but that you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and you deserve total damnation in Hell and its only By Gods grace and mercy you can be saved. But while all churches seem to profess this they difer in small matters that aren't true to the word of God. like catholics who believe in purgatory. There is no such thing. They took one verse out of revelation and went off with it. But Im a Calvinist from Reformed Christianity and have been taught the best to my knowledge but it helps if you read theologions like John Calvin, Geerhardus Vos and Cornielius Vantil to have a better handle on the true word of God. Its just there are to many churches out there that miss the point on life in Jesus Christ and who God is. Hope this helps

Reason 1. In America the reason is that there is no established religion. In times past and still in some countries nations declare a national religion. For example Scotland has been Presbyterian, England has been Anglican and Iceland Lutheran.

Reason 2. We are a land of immigrants and thus different people come from different church backgrounds and beliefs.

Reason 3. Liberalism - has cause church division after church division.

Reason 4. Instead of churches worshipping exactly how the Bible clearly teaches church have added traditions which conflict with other churches and thus causes divisions.

The answer is quite simple...we are people of flesh.

I am not here to say which 'Religion' is completely true, but to point out amongst the topic of One God, One Bible, we have an adversary who is the father of all lies and thus he has found ways to penetrate the very fabric of our belief system in God.

Satan is pure evil and although many of us see him as the little red guy with horns, he is rather cunning and his only mission is to keep us from the truth. If he can present a lie that confuses us as believers and we split and separate into an unknown number of side faiths and thus making it more confusing for those who don't believe to choose a faith, then he is accomplishing his mission.

Now on the positive side, we can look at the variety of personalities that exist in the world. Each one of us is unique in how we approach life. So take this into how the Bible works. Look at the gospels, Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. They each tell the same thing, but they each use the unique styles of the individuals who wrote the specific book.

We live in a world of confusion, but the key is to find our way back to God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. He is available for us to turn to Him, no matter where we are in our lives. He is available, no matter how many times we have gone to Him and turned away from Him. We have a God who is filled with Grace, who Loves us...No matter what.

Every person is called to serve in a particular way. Some are called to care for the sick, the poor and the needy so their focus becomes Chrit's message about helping others. Some are called to show people the way to empowere themselves and others and their focus becomes Christ's message about the sonship. Some are called to bring others to repentance, so their message becomes Christ on the cross.
What everyone seems to miss is the fact that every Christian is supposed to be the church - like Fire said, the buildings. strucyures and businesses that grow up around an individual or group are not the main thing. The main thing is people going out to spread the gospel.

Technically there is only to be one church, one god, one bible. It's all because of each human's individual beliefs and that's why there are so many churches. Which is the right church? Who knows

God never intended for there to be denominations. That was a man-made thing. But still, we who believe make up THE church which is the bride of Christ. We just meet on many different campus's.

Because many are not truly called by God, self called priests, pastors etc......

Some don't even know basic English!!

1Co 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

There are two ordinances mentioned in 1 Cor 11, ask anyone who knows basic English what are the issues there, ordinanceS, meaning plural! There are only two issues here in 1 Cor 11, ordinance of head covering and ordinance of the Lord's Supper!!

See how many churches today, where women do not have headcovering!!!

Different churches are an expression of different personalities of faith. Just as each of us has different personalities so do churches. Just as freedom of expression is generally considered to be something that strengthens a country so also freedom of expression in worship strengthens Christianity. If everything were one church controlled by one group of people we would have much less freedom of new ideas. We will be one church in time but not controlled by people but by God Himself, then it will be OK!

Starting in the 3rd century, the "church" at that time compromised and began to merge other religious teaching in it. Like Christmas, Easter and other false holidays.

As time went on, intellegent person saw this was fraud and began to pick and choose what was okay for them, and of course they had their followers.

True christians follow Jesus example, like be no part of the world, they are united, they show love for their fellow worshipers, and for the rest of humanity. The main work to be done is preaching.

there is not any one definition of "Christian" because of the fact all of them are saying countless issues. they do no longer agree, they are no longer getting alongside, they are all genuinely hypocrites condemning the Hindus and all of the different actual non secular traditions. Christianity isn't faith anymore. in case you study its history you will see what i mean. All this is ever carried out is slaughter people who do no longer agree and that's what the Euro Christians did while they have been given to the Americas -- killed as lots of the Indians as they could (genocide), and interior the statement of Independence, they are talked approximately as "cruel Indian savages." this is nevertheless in there -- take a glance. Christians are the main xenophobic human beings interior the international and function been no longer something yet a virulent disease and a scourge to something of humanity. anyone who says that Christianity is "faith" would not be attentive to what faith is ...
